It has thirteen in-patients and a staff strength of twenty three nurses both qualified and unqualified. Agency staff are frequently engaged to make up the number of staff necessary to care for patients on a particular shift. On the average there are between seven and eleven nursing staff per shift depending on the prevailing situation on the ward. It has two supervised confinements and two intensive care areas.
